Pictures of M5 Cattle Crossing
This 3m wide and 2m high crossing has been viewed as a possible means
of reconstructing a new navigation along the 1779 route. It is 2m narrower
than the rest of the canal which can accommodate 5m wide boats and the
base would have to be dropped by about 2m - even then, there would be no
provision for towpath users to cross the M5.
