Both will probably have to be lowered at some
point on both routes
The two pipelines run parallel with and just to the west of the M5. Both
post date the infilling of the canal in this area.
It is likely that both will need to be lowered to a significant degree at
the point where the navigation is restored even if the river channel is used
due to the lowering if the navigation to provide headroom under the M5.
This is likely to be costly but should not pose major engineering problems.
